The Yarmouth Golf and Country Club hosts the second annual Jadon Robinson Memorial Golf Tournament tomorrow at Yarmouth Links.
Last year, the event raised over $18,000 for the JSTRONG Foundation.
It’s a fund that helps youth access sport in Yarmouth County.
The tournament and fund were started in memory of Jadon Robinson, who passed away in 2015 after a car accident.
Golf tournament organizer Julian O’Connell says this year’s event sold out quickly.
“So we didn’t get to invite a lot of new folks this year. We have 100 per cent of last year’s participants back, and we did manage to get a few extra groups in at the course.”
O’Connell says the community has come together once again to make sure this year is another success.
He says each sponsor has donated between $1000 and $2500 to the tournament.
“When you get this type of support, it allows us to put on a deluxe event for the golfers and net a strong donation to the JSTRONG Foundation.”
Registration starts at 9am with a shotgun start at 10.
There are a number of prizes up for grabs this year, including cars and motorcycles for a Hole in One on select holes.
Also planned: A social gathering after the tournament with music from the Radiators at the curling club.
