There is a shortage of gasoline and diesel, across the province and it’s being blamed on Monday’s storm.
There were lineups yesterday and this morning at many service stations in the Tri-Counties and South Shore.
Guy Surette, the owner of Tusket Ultramar in Yarmouth County says the power went off at the Esso storage facility in Dartmouth on Sunday, but that was just one problem.
“Apparently they were running low on fuel and so the ship that brings the fuel into the tank farm in Dartmouth, it was so windy on Christmas Day and the days prior, they haven’t been able to unload.”
Surette says Irving stations have gas because they built their own facility in HRM after the 2015 gas shortage.
He says they ran out of fuel this morning but hopes to have his tanks full by tomorrow.
