Yarmouth Wade's Wire Traps Bantam AA Mariners were on the road this weekend in Antigonish and Pictou coming home with two wins.

Mariners topped Antigonish 6-2.

Scoring was Yanick Cottreau, Jory Stewart, Ethan Brannen, Jay Deviller, Connor Boudreau.

Assists went to; Jory Stewart with two, Yanick Cottreau, Gavin O'Connell, Cameron Kerr, Jay Deviller.

Winning goalie was Izaac Deveau. Player of the game: Jory Stewart.

Sunday Mariners shutout Pictou 3-0.

Goal scorers were: Spencer Surette Gavin O'connell Jay Deviller.

Assist were: Jory Stewart, Jay Deviller, Yanick Cottreau, Orren Hatfield, Ethan Shand.

Charlie Banks was in net for the shut out and was also player of the game.

With the two wins Yarmouth takes first place in the Bantam AA Mainland League standings with 5 wins and 1 loss on their record.

The West Pubnico Pharmasave Bantam A Mariners dropped their game to West Hants 6-0.

The league game was played Sunday at Mariners Centre.

The Yarmouth Whitecaps attended the Acadia Axemens' Invitational swim meet in Wolfville this past weekend and had some outstanding performances.

The top eight places will be recognized.

Outstanding in the 13-14 Boys were :
Parker Deveau with a 3rd place in the 200 and 100 Free and 100 Fly. He also placed 6th in the 50 Free.
Ibaad Hemani had a 5th place in the 50 Free, a 7th place in the 200 Breast and 8th in the 100 and 200 Back.
The combined team of Chiara Carbonell, Bria MacKinnon, Ibaad Hemani and Parker Deveau were 3rd in the 4 X 50 Medley relay.

In the Senior Women, Mary Beth Brown placed 1rst in the 50 Free, the 100 Free, 5th in the 100 Fly, 4th in the 200 IM.

Sylvia Thibault placed 2nd in the 200 Back and 5th in the 100 Back.

And in the Senior Men Alec d'Entremont placed 8th in the 200IM and 8th in the 400 Free.

The Yarmouth J-Strong Atom Mariners played in the Shelburne Fall Classic this weekend.

They played the Shelburne County Flames the first game and won 3-1.

Scoring for Yarmouth ; Karter Bain unassisted, Crofton MacAlpine, assisted by Parker LeBlanc and Sawyer Kristensen and Declan Fitzgerald, assisted by Marcel Jacquard. In net; Benoit Seeley and Lukas Nickerson.

They defeated Clare/Digby the second game 6-4. Scoring for Yarmouth; 2 goals by Ryder Pinksen assisted by Declan Fitzgerald, Crofton MacAlpine, assisted by Sawyer Kristensen, Karter Bain, assisted by Jack d'Entremont, Jack d'Entremont, assisted by Karter Bain,and Bryce Fitzgerald unassisted. In net, Benoit Seeley and Lukas Nickerson.

On Sunday they had their third win against the Halifax Hawks. Goals went to Declan Fitzgerald and Bryce Fitzgerald , both assisted by Sawyer Kristensen. Crofton MacAlpine and Marcel Jacquard , both assisted by Declan Fitzgerald and Jack d'Entremont assisted by Colby d'Eon. In net was Benoit Seeley.

The tournament ended with a silver medal win after an overtime game with the Shelburne Flames. Scoring for Yarmouth, Sawyer Kristensen and Bryce Fitzgerald . The final score was 3-2. In net, Lukas Nickerson.

Yesterday, they travelled to Acadia for a regular season game in which they tied. Goals went to Sawyer Kristensen and Bryce Fitzgerald .

In net were Benoit Seeley and Lukas Nickerson.

The Spears and MacLeod Pharmasave Pee Wee AA Mariners remain undefeated this season, with two wins and a tie this weekend.

Saturday they doubled Acadia 6-3 in Kentville.

Riley Hubbard scored twice, along with Luke Macleay, Cameron Barnes, Blake Newell, and Cameron Brown, with Braeden Hipson in net for the win.

In Truro on Sunday they won 4-1, and tied 2-2.

Scoring in game one were Cameron Barnes, Carson d'Eon, Riley Hubbard, and Blake Newell.

Both game two's goals were netted by Carson d'Eon.

Braeden Hipson was stellar net, splitting the games with Charlie Whitty.

Hubert's Towing Atom AA Mariners came home with two wins and one loss over the weekend.

Yarmouth won Pictou Red 5-1 Saturday afternoon Goals were scored by Cruz Stoddard (2), assisted both times by Connor Pothier, Connor Stoddard had 1 goal, assisted by Connor Pothier. Drew Muise scored unassisted once for the Mariners, as did Lexx d'Entremont (unassisted).

Yarmouth lost against Pictou White on Saturday night 6-3. Aston Samms scored twice unassisted for the Mariners and Connor Pothier scored once (assisted by Drew Muise)

Yarmouth went on to beat Pictou White Sunday morning 3-2 Goals were scored by Cruz Stoddard (assisted by Angelo Dugas-Bravo), Ashton Samms (assisted by Cruz Stoddard), and Drew Muise (assisted by Miguel Surette).
