Scoring for Yarmouth was Brandon Pitman, unassisted and Logan Leaman was in nets.
For Clare/Digby Gaetan Deveau scored, assisted by Trey Deveau and Connor Pyne was in the net.
Yarmouth and will now move into playoffs.
*The Wade’s Wire Traps Yarmouth Bantam AA Mariners were on the road this past Saturday to play Acadia Axemen.
Yarmouth won the game 8-2.
Owen Penney led the scoring with 4 goals; Jaden Kerr had 2 while Dalton Sears and Drew Goreham each had one. Spencer Surette had 4 assists, Michel Comeau and Jacob Matthews had 2 while Seamus d’Entremont, Ben LeBlanc, Dalton Sears and Jaden Kerr each had one. Izaac Deveau was in net for the win.
On Sunday, Yarmouth hosted the South Shore Junior Lumberjacks.
Yarmouth won 5-1.
Dalton Sears scored 2 goals while Michel Comeau, Spencer Surette and Connor Prouty each had one. Assists went to Michel Comeau, Ben LeBlanc, Alex Barr, Owen Fitzgerald, Seamus d’Entremont, and Spencer Surette. Jacob Atwood was in net for the win.
*The first place Yarmouth GPK Refrigeration PeeWee A Mariners split two games in their first playoff round against the fourth seeded Clare / Digby Ravens.
Saturday, in Church Point, the Ravens defeated the Mariners 3-2 in a shootout. Scoring for the Mariners were Boston Aldred and Blake Newell, with Lucas Cottreau assisting on both goals and Blake Newell also adding an assist. Scoring for Clare / Digby were Zackery Comeau, Ryan Trimper and Dante Hamilton.
Sunday, host Mariners came away with a 3-2 win to tie the best of 3 series. Blake Newell led the scoring with two goals with Alyre Richardson scoring one goal. Assists were awarded to Ashton Samms, Lucas Cottreau, Boston Aldred, Sean Phillippe Fernandez and Lucien Doucette. Goal scorers for the Ravens were Chad Reddick and Cameron Titus.
The third and deciding game will take place this Thursday evening at the Mariners Center.
*The Yarmouth Pink Star Barro Atom B Mariners fells 7-3 to Clare-Digby on Saturday. Andre Hill and Dana Hill scored the Yarmouth goals with assists by Jesse Churchill, Crofton MacAlpine and Brooke Travis.
