Meteghan RCMP say no one was hurt after a vehicle left the road, rolled over and caught fire this morning.
Emergency services received the call just before 8am on Highway 101, near Marker 46.
Cst. Mario Gougeon says the roads were slippery at the time.
“The person lost control over weather conditions and went over the guardrail. The car was found on its top and firefighters extinguished the fire.”
Cst. Gougeon says the driver and sole occupant was lucky she wasn’t hurt worse, walking away with a few scratches.
“The person is very lucky to be alive and walked away from it with virtually a few scratches.”
He says it’s a reminder to be extra careful on the roads that at this time of year.
“The patches of frost on bridges that cross over the highways, that’s where it has tendency to be a little icy. That’s where she lost control, so you have to be extra careful this time of year.”
