Just over a thousand Nova Scotians are still without power.
The wind storm Christmas Day knocked out power to more than 158,000 homes across the province.
Nova Scotia Power spokesperson Tiffany Chase says crews may have to wait for some homeowners to make repairs themselves before power is reconnected.
“Some customers may have damage to their meter mast. That’s the tube that runs up the side of your house that brings the line into your meter. And that portion of the system is actually the responsibility of the customer.”
Chase says Nova Scotia Power has supplied a list of electricians on their web site who are certified to complete that work.
