A fatal crash occurred on Highway 101’s Joggins Bridge Yesterday afternoon.
The Digby RCMP, Fire, and EHS responded to the scene and learned that a pickup truck left the road and came to rest on a guardrail.
The 65-year-old driver from Annapolis Royal was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 62-year-old passenger, a woman from Weymouth escaped injuries.
Investigators believe the driver suffered a medical event prior to the collision.
