Remembrance Day is less than a week away.
Legion members across the Tri-Counties encourage you to attend a ceremony and wear a poppy.
Brenda Hattie with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61 in Yarmouth says there will be two ceremonies in town, as usual.
“Ken Piggott from Wedgeport, he helps put the Cenotaph ceremony downtown together. Then we’ll have the large service at Mariners Centre like we always do, followed by a reception back here at the legion,” said Hattie.
There’s also a ceremony at the former St. Michael’s Church in Wedgeport, followed by a reception at Branch 155.
A number of smaller ceremonies will be taking place throughout the region.
