Two big games for the Yarmouth Mariners at home.
They’ve got the Pictou County Crushers Saturday night, and the Truro Bearcats Sunday at 4 p.m.
The Mariners have just four wins in 13 games this season and sit in fifth place in the Eastlink South Division.
Head Coach and GM Laurie Barron says these are big games.
“These are four point games that we need to have. All of a sudden at the end of the weekend, four points would certainly change the standings a lot,” said Barron.
Barron has also been busy on the trade front.
New acquisitions Ryan Loveless and Braedan Campbell will be in the line-up this weekend.
“We have guys that want to be here now. We need to get going here, we’ve played well at home, so we need to get some momentum going.”
Barron says forwards Alexis Tanguay and Ethan Johnson are still a week or so away from joining the team, they’re both out with injury.
