The quest for a ‘four-peat’ begins for the Southwest Storm.
The three-time defending Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League champions start their season at home tomorrow night against South Shore.
Head Coach Andrew Holland says they have seven or eight new players.
“A lot of young talent, we have a lot of speed up front and depth. If we can figure out how to score each night, we’ll have a solid group,” said Holland.
Game time is 7 p.m. at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington.
The Storm will also host the Maritime Junior C championship in April.
Holland says the fans have been amazing.
“We had a preseason tournament last weekend, and we had great attendance for that. It means a lot to the boys, and we’re excited to get the season going.”
