The largest motorcycle rally in Atlantic Canada is on in Digby.
The 20th annual Wharf Rat Rally promises something for everybody.
Organizer Rick Allwright says it’s going to be a big one.
“We look for about 20 to 25 thousand people that will come into the area over the weekend,” said Allwright.
It all kicks off Thursday night with an opening reception at Digby Pines.
Allwright says they’re doing an economic impact study on the event this year.
In the past, it’s generated between three and four million dollars.
New this year: a drone light show on Saturday night.
“It’s going to be very interesting to see that over the harbour, and we think it will be a very popular event in this festival. Saturday is going to be a busy day in downtown Digby, and we’re hoping the weather holds up,” added Allwright.
There are some street closures, the bikes will be parked on Water Street as usual.
Some shuttles are available for people to get downtown.
