The Congres Mondial Acadien is well underway.
Tens of thousands are in our region for a week of events celebrating Acadian culture.
Yarmouth Mayor Pam Mood says town staff worked hard to get ready.
“Frost Park is lit up, banners are up everywhere. Everyone is getting out their finest, and showing how much we appreciate our visitors and our strong Acadian culture,” said Mayor Mood.
Events in Yarmouth include a parade through the downtown and a concert at the airport on National Acadian Day Thursday.
“We are so great at hospitality, and showing the world exactly who we are.”
