Passenger numbers on the ‘CAT’ ferry have surpassed last year’s total.
Bay Ferries says the Yarmouth to Bar Harbor, Maine vessel has booked 40,647 passengers so far.
That’s over 6,600 more than this time last year.
President Mark Wilson says he’s pleased with the continued growth of the service, and they have a busy month of August ahead.
He says they anticipate strong numbers over the next 10 weeks.
The ferry had 38,339 passengers in all of 2023.
Daily service started June 20 and will continue until September 16.
Then it will go to five days a week until October 15.
The ‘CAT’ has carried nearly 26,000 passengers and 10,000 vehicles this year so far.
