A new option for tourists and locals on Yarmouth’s waterfront.
The Yarmouth Night Market makes its debut on Friday from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
Organizer Mike Kitney says it will be on the Marginal Wharf, right next to where the ‘CAT’ docks.
“I thought it would be a great opportunity to bring some much needed vibrancy into the downtown core during the tourist season, and help out local industry and businesses as well,” said Kitney.
He says about 25 vendors will be set up for the opening night, there will be food, arts and crafts, live music and more.
It’s happening every Friday during the tourist season, and Kitney says vendors will increase and change throughout the summer.
“If we draw enough support for this market, I believe downtown vendors will stay open later leading into this season and next year, and everyone will thrive.”
He says it’s important to give tourists things to do when coming off the ferry.
