Good Morning !
Has the Elf become a part of your Family’s Christmas Tradition ?
Such a thing never existed when I was a kid, however there were Christmas stories that my dad would tell us about Santa’s Elves and that if you were a Bad Boy or Girl , Santa would take you to the North Pole to become an Elf ! I Know it sounds like a terrible story but it sure as heck kept us in check at Christmas time ” Miss ya Dad”
I’m pretty sure My Elf days are not going to happen. I will cherish the Childhood memories I have of Santa coming in the Front Door early morning, making lots of noise in the kitchen , the rustling of things in the living room. in a Gruff Voice I once herd Santa say ” It’s a good thing my sleigh is full and I don’t have room for them Reede Boys ” Gulp!! perhaps we were on the Naughty list ?
The Elf on the Shelf that seems to be in may homes has been on the go since 2005, that’s when the tale of a Little Elf sent by Santa to to report on the behavior of Children leading up to Christmas was written by author Carol Abersold.
This story describes how Santa’s “scout elves ” hide in people’s homes to watch over events. Once everyone goes to bed, the scout elf flies back to the North Pole to report to Santa the activities, good and bad, that have taken place throughout the day.
Before the family wakes up each morning, the scout elf flies back from the North Pole and hides. By hiding in a new spot each morning around the house, the scout elf plays an ongoing game of hide and seek with the family
Mom’s and Dad’s please remember: that scout elves get their magic by being named and being loved by a child.
