The wait is over. The last-ever Beatles song has been released. Earlier this year, the remaining Beatles announced that they would be releasing a song featuring all four Beatles playing together again! Apparently, back in 1977, John Lennon recorded a bunch of demo tapes. One of them, 40 years later, turned into the song “Now and Then.”
After John’s death in 1980, his widow Yoko Ono called George Harrison and told him about a song John had been working on. She asked him if the rest of the band would want to finish it up. The only problem was that this was the late 90s, and the technology was not advanced enough to clean up Lennon’s voice on the demo tape.
Now, with the help of AI to separate Lennon’s voice, the remaining living Beatles have rearranged and released the song. I think it’s incredible but a little sad. It truly is a goodbye song!
Have a listen below and let me know what you think.
