A Yarmouth man has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs.
Doug Jones of Ignite Atlantic received the honour from Atlantic Business Magazine.
Ignite began in Yarmouth, it helps entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground, and to thrive.
Jones says they also have industry partners.
“Our economic drivers are rural industries like the fishery, forestry, mining and more. I think it’s important to help them as much as possible, and that’s been one of our focuses since the start,” said Jones.
Ignite has offices in New Glasgow and Halifax as well.
He thanked his team for their dedication and support.

He says Ignite wants to be the main resource for innovative business in rural Nova Scotia.
