A wildfire in BC is threatening a community.
The residents of Tl’etinqox first Nation were issued an evacuation alert due to a rapidly growing fire that officials are calling out of control.
The fire was discovered Thursday and has since grown to 150 hectares in a short amount of time. Residents are advised to be prepared to leave their homes on short notice should the fire get too close.
Canada: The Dripping Water Fire North of Tl’etinqox and SE of Alexis Creek, in British Columbia, is nearing 400 acres. Some evacuations have been ordered while resources try to contain the wildfire.
