The Adopt-a-Book campaign is going well in the Tri-Counties.
Over 20-thousand dollars has been raised, and 636 books have been adopted.
The library’s Ian White says they’re getting closer to their goal.
“We need 114 more books adopted to reach our goal by November 30th,” says White.
Western Counties Regional Libraries host the fundraiser every two years to help re-stock shelves of their 10 library branches.
It’s also a way to fundraise three percent of their budget, as mandated by the province.
White says it enhances the library’s collection, and hopefully leads to more people reading.
