It’s weekend two of the Coal Shed Music Festival on the Yarmouth waterfront.
The music gets going this afternoon, and continues tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.
Organizer Phil DeMille says most of the acts are from the Tri-Counties, but many have come from away.
“We have several groups this year from the Halifax area, tomorrow night we have jazz singer Pat Braxton from Boston, last week we had the Snow Duo from Daytona, Florida,” says DeMille.
He says there will be an open jam session tomorrow morning at 10.
“We want to make it open and very informal. It’s our effort to replace the kitchen parties, which had become so popular.”
The second tent was not available, so a kitchen party could not be held this year.
DeMille says there will be a buy, sell and trade of musical instruments as well.
Admission is free, but donations are being collected for local school breakfast programs.
