Seafest just wrapped up in Yarmouth.
The 12-day festival saw the return of many in-person events, including the Herring Toss, Mayor’s Picnic, and the Classic Car Show.
Yesterday, the festival wrapped up with a SWITCH Open Street event, and sandcastle building at Port Maitland beach.
Seafest President Darryl LeBlanc says they couldn’t have asked for a better festival.
“The accolades that we have received from people have been tremendous. I think for the most part, people just wanted to be able to get out and do things again,” says LeBlanc.
He thanked the nine committee members, and four or five volunteers for all their hard work and hours put in.
“The Pet Pageant was really popular, that will be a staple going forward. Also, great response to the Seafest Amazing Race. That was so popular, that we had to make it a two-night event. Everything was so well received by the community.”
LeBlanc says they’ll be putting out a call for more volunteers next year.
