The ocean meets the sky for Yarmouth Seafest starting tomorrow.
The next 12 days are jammed packed with events, some returning for the first time in years.
Seafest starts in earnest with the Children’s Parade followed by the picnic in Frost Park with Mayor Pam Mood.
Events to look forward to this weekend include the antique car show, Yarmouth Recreation’s Beach Day, lots of entertainment at the Coal Shed and a visit from the Pirates of Halifax.
Sunday will also be Kids Day at Killams Wharf with lots on the go to keep youngsters entertained.
The Mariners Centre Photo Contest is happening throughout the event, challenging people to capture Seafest’s theme this year: Where the Ocean Meets the Sky.
Other events include the Seafest Amazing Race, a pet pageant at the Parker-Eakins Wharf, and a three day scavenger hunt.

This is the 44th year Seafest has been held. In total there are 36 events this year to look forward to.
Below is a map of the route for the Seafest Pharmasave Children’s Parade. It starts tomorrow at at 1:15 p.m. The Town of Yarmouth says that section of Main Street will be closed to vehicles during the parade. The town says the street will not be closed off with physical barricades but RCMP escorts will be at both ends of the parade, along with walkers on each side.
