For the first time in three years, the Coal Shed Music Festival is coming back to the Yarmouth waterfront.
This August, three weekends are set aside for dozens of artists to take the stage.
Organizer Phil DeMille says planning was underway the last two years, but the pandemic had other plans.
He says he’s looking forward to getting back at it.
“I try not to make every festival the same, I try to introduce some changes every year to make it interesting. We’ve been doing this for 15 years, we don’t want it to be the same old deal,” says DeMille.
It all gets underway on August 12th, with a schedule of acts to come sometime in July.
He says they offer something for everyone.
“We have a little bit of classic rock, some country, some blues, gospel, and this year we’ll have jazz for the first time. That’s the approach we take and it seems to work for us.”
They’ll also be collecting donations for local school breakfast programs.
