Questions are mounting about passenger numbers on the CAT ferry.
Minister of Public Works Kim Masland was grilled by reporters today on how many people to date have used the Bay Ferries run Nova Scotia to Maine ferry service.
The province and Bay Ferries have not released ridership numbers since the CAT returned to service on May 19th, however, in a release on June eighth Bay Ferries stated 15,100 tickets had been sold with no cancellations at that time.
Masland says the province will release the ridership numbers at the end of the season.
Bay Ferries plans to release similar reports on the CAT’s activity at the end of every month this season.
