A 29 year old Digby man was arrested and later released on conditions after an incident Friday.
Colton Glenn Merritt was sent to hospital after his arrest near Double Lake Road.
RCMP on Friday said a distressed man was armed, but there was no immediate danger to the public.
Merritt is facing eight charges, including assault with a weapon, discharge of a firearm with intent and flight from police.
He was released on conditions after a bail hearing, including he not possess any weapons or firearms, and surrenders any he has in his possession.
He is due back in court today.
