Another high profile event will return to Yarmouth next month.
Ribfest is back at Mariners Centre from July 8-10.
This time, it’s being put on by the Yarmouth Rotary Club.
Kerry Muise with the club says it’s been a long time coming after two years in the pandemic.
“We could tell from the community that they were super ready for an event to happen. They’ve been very receptive to the Rotary Club putting this event on,” says Muise.
Local organizer Paul Comeau says they’re eager to host the event after two years of delays.
“We were excited to try to do this in 2020, we struck a community, had plenty of discussions with the manager of the five trucks. We were ready to go,” says Comeau.
But now, five rib trucks are set to pull into Yarmouth.
Comeau says there will be lots to eat, and lots to do with entertainment lined up for all ages.
