Conservative Party of Canada leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre is coming to Shelburne County tomorrow.
He’ll make a stop at the Island and Barrington Passage Fire Department on Cape Sable Island to meet with supporters.
Campaign worker Tyson Ross tells us why the area was chosen.
“Barrington was selected based on the level of support that was being seen by the campaign from people in this area,” says Ross.
He says Poilievre is focused on meeting with people in rural areas of the Maritimes and hearing their concerns.
“A lot of people will get a chance to speak in person with him. For those who are supporting him, we hope they come out. Those on the fence are also welcome to come here what he has to say.”
The event is open to the public and starts at 6:30.
Poilievre is one of six candidates vying for the party leadership, which will be decided in September.
