A 24-year-old man is facing a dozen charges after a stabbing in Weymouth overnight Sunday.
Joshua Osbourne Mabie is currently in custody awaiting his next court appearance on May 17th.
RCMP say it all started at a community centre on Highway 1 around 1:45 a.m.
Police learned that during a memorial at the centre, Mabie was seen pointing a firearm at other people.
He then went to a nearby home, where a group confronted him about bringing the firearm to the memorial.
That’s when police say Mabie stabbed a 24-year-old Weymouth man. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital.
The charges he’s facing include aggravated assault, several firearm offences, and possession of cocaine.
