A man charged with first-degree murder is due back in court in June.
Thirty-year-old Dillon Burton Deveau of North Chegoggin appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court on Friday, and was remanded into a provincial institution.
Deveau was arrested last Wednesday in relation to the discovery of a body in a burned-out home in Pinkney’s Point on March 17th.
The remains of 43 year old Joseph Wickens of Stoney Island were investigated by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
A six-week investigation led to the charges against Deveau.
His appearance on June 7th will be a show-cause hearing.
