A popular event is coming back to downtown Yarmouth this summer.
The Roaring 20’s Antique Auto Club will bring back the Classic Car Cruise and Car Show on July 15th and 16th.
Club member Paul Robicheau says 10,000 people and well over 600 cars were at the last event in 2019.
“This year, we weren’t planning on having a show, because we weren’t sure how things were going to be related to COVID-19. But we had a meeting not too long ago, and decided to go ahead with it,” says Robicheau.
He says it takes a lot to plan an event like this, and he thanks the club members and merchants in the town for welcoming the show back after three years.
Fellow member Denton Ford says he’s excited for the show’s return.
“This will be a trial and error year to see how it goes, because people are still leery of COVID. Hopefully we’ll get through the summer just fine and have a great show,” says Ford.
The Classic Car Show will close down Main Street, it’s been happening downtown since 2016, and always takes place during Seafest.
