The Yarmouth Mariners honoured their players at an awards banquet last night.
The team MVP award went to defenseman Ben Roode.
Fellow defender Tamy Ettaqi was the winner of the Darcy Haugan Memorial Award as playoff MVP.
The award is named after the late coach of the Humboldt Broncos.
Other winners on the night included Sam Gillis as top scorer, Kurtis Lang won the Phil Adam award, 200 foot player honours went to Reilly Mayne, the coach’s award was won by Kieran Burke.
Unsung hero was shared by two local players, Yarmouth’s Ben Charles and Wedgeport’s Ryan Semple.
The Mariners fell in six games in the opening round of the MHL Playoffs to the Valley Wildcats.
