I have noticed lately a fair amount of licence plates with peeling paint.
This makes then un readable to Law Enforcement , especially at night with little or no reflective paint to make them visible .
I found a news story about an Ontario man who was handed a $110 ticket for having a peeling and faded licence plate says he believes the charge is unfair and will fight the fine in court.

What to do if yours is peeling ?
If you have a peeling licence plate, Service Nova Scotia will give you a new plate for free when you visit an Access Nova Scotia Centre.
If you have a defective licence plate, Service Nova Scotia will give you a new plate for free when you bring the defective plate to an Access Nova Scotia Centre.
If you have a defective licence plate within the e-series (EAAOO1 to EZZ999), they will replace the plate for free with or without the return of the plate. This particular range of plates have had more issues than others.
