The Southwest Storm are getting ready for their Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League semifinal this weekend.
They take on the Chester Castaways in a best of five series, starting tomorrow night on the road.
The teams will play Game 2 in Barrington Saturday night at 7.
Storm Head Coach Andrew Holland says it’s nice to hear the community buzzing about hockey.
“Our guys are really focused, and even though we’re happy with how things are going, we’re not satisfied. We have expectations of going all the way, so we’re going to do our best to see it through until the end,” says Holland.
The Storm swept Spryfield in two games in last weekend’s series.
Holland says his team has been improving through the season.
“We’re doing a real good job defensively at the moment. We’re not giving up as many quality shots, and we have solid goaltending. Chester has three or four of the better offensive players in the league, so we’re going to have to keep them in check.”
The winner of this series will move on to a best of seven league final.
