About 100 protesters walked peacefully in a demonstration against public health mandates in Yarmouth on Saturday.
Some of the signs they were carrying included ‘end all mandates,’ ‘freedom of choice’ and ‘support our truckers.’
A few large trucks and a good number of vehicles took part in an informal parade through Starrs Road and Main Street, many had Canadian and anti-Justin Trudeau flags.
A smaller vehicle convoy went through town yesterday.
The demonstrations were in solidarity with the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa.
On Friday, Mayor Pam Mood says the town was made aware of the protest, and organizers were advised of their responsibilities.
No roads were blocked, and police, fire and the traffic authority were closely watching.
