Environment Canada has issued alerts ahead of the first storm of 2022.
A Snowfall Warning is in effect for Yarmouth and Shelburne Counties, as 15 to 20 centimetres of snow is expected to fall, beginning late this morning.
Wind gusts will reach 80 kilometres an hour tonight.
There may be a changeover to rain along the Atlantic coast this afternoon and early this evening.
Digby County is expected to get hit hardest, as they’ve been issued a Winter Storm Warning.
Environment Canada says 25-45 centimetres could fall, with wind gusts up to 100 kilometres an hour.
The system is expected to move out tomorrow with clearing skies for the afternoon.
