A long-term care home in Yarmouth says they’ve had care team members recently test positive for COVID-19.
In a release yesterday on their Facebook page, the Meadows Home for Special Care says the facility is closed to visitors until Public Health declares an end to the outbreak.
No residents have tested positive, and the affected members have been off work and isolating, as required.
They say Public Health and their infection control champion have been working hard since the first case was detected to determine additional measures needed to help prevent spread.
The Meadows is a 105 bed facility located on Pleasant Street.
