A scare at a Yarmouth County bakery yesterday.
Firefighters from the Yarmouth department were called to Bailey’s in Hebron just after 4 p.m, as smoke was coming from the attic.
Yarmouth fire chief Mike Deveau tells us they found smouldering insulation, caused by a wire.
He says there were minimal flames, and a small amount of water was used to extinguish the fire.
There were no injuries.
Deveau says there was some smoke damage, and the building was turned back over to the owner.
In a social media post, staff say the bakery will remain closed today as they assess the damage.
