RCMP in Yarmouth had a heavy presence early in the afternoon on Forest Street yesterday.
They asked the public to avoid the area around Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School.
Police say around 1:40, they received a report of a suspicious person near the school.
About an hour later, RCMP said the situation was resolved, and they were clearing the area.
Students at the school were dismissed on time.
There is no word on any arrests.
