The Valley High School Hockey League began play on the weekend.
The YCMHS Vikings fell 3-2 in their home opener yesterday to West Kings.
Par-en-Bas opened their season with a 5-1 win over Forest Heights on Friday, then lost in a shootout to Horton on Saturday. On Friday, Spencer Surette scored twice, Alyre Richardson, Chandler LeBlanc and Blake Newell also scored. On Sunday, Surette had the lone goal.
The Clare Loups went 2-0, defeating West Kings 3-1 on the road Friday, and winning their home opener Saturday 7-4 over Forest Heights. Miguel deJesus had three goals and two assists in the home opener, Nema Hanna had a goal and two assists, Zach Comeau had three assists, Zack Comeau and Chase Comeau with a goal and an assist, Jakeb Belliveau had two assists, Gaetan Deveau scored, Ryan Trimper, Luca LeBlanc and Alex Theriault all had an assist.
The Barrington Barons fell 4-0 to Parkview on Friday at home.
Digby lost 4-3 Saturday night to Central Kings.
