Fire gutted a home and attached garage early Saturday morning in Yarmouth.
The call came in at 4 a.m. on Cleveland Road.
Yarmouth Fire Chief Mike Deveau says the fire began in the garage, and when firefighters arrived they noticed the fire had made its way into the home.
He says both water tankers and the rescue unit responded, bringing in extra breathing apparatus and air tanks.
A family were displaced, there were no injuries.
Deveau says it took firefighters a while to knock the blaze down.
He thanks the Port Maitland, Lake Vaughn and Wedgeport fire departments for providing mutual aid.
