Yarmouth’s ‘Walk Against Bullying’ has been cancelled.
However, COVID-19 restrictions have shut down the walk once again, much like in 2020.
Organizer Jeanne Doucette says because we’re not yet in Phase 5, it’s best not to have it at this time.
“Never knowing how many people will come out, it’s hard to try and keep people apart, which we still need to do. It was a difficult decision, but I decided for this year that we won’t have it. Being our 10th year, I’m disappointed that we can’t,” says Doucette.
It’s Pink Shirt Day in CSAP schools tomorrow, which creates awareness on anti-bullying.
Doucette encourages everyone to wear pink tomorrow, as bullying is still a major issue in schools, workplaces and online.
