The Town of Yarmouth’s Special Election is this Saturday.
Three people are running for a vacant seat on council, and over the next few days we’ll profile each candidate.
Tim Clayton has put his name forward once again, after running in the 2020 Municipal Election.
He says he wants to get involved, and bring a fresh perspective.
“I want to make positive changes, with some new ideas for some old problems we’ve had, and put some energy where it’s needed,” says Clayton.
Clayton says affordable housing is a big issue he’d like to fight for at the council table.
“In these uncertain times, and the rising cost of living, people need some support. I will look at all aspects and do what I can to help the people.”
The other candidates are Belle Hatfield and Don Berry.
Voting can be done online, over the phone, or in person during business hours at the Returning Office at Town Hall.
As of today, voter turnout is at 22 per cent.
