Fire destroyed a cottage in Yarmouth County yesterday morning.
Just after 9:30, the Carleton fire department responded to the blaze on Beechwood Drive in Forest Glen.
After some time, the cottage fell in on itself as it was still burning, the fire was later extinguished.
There were no injuries, and the cause of the blaze is not known.
The Kemptville and Valley and District departments also responded, and Nova Scotia Power were on scene.
Carleton fire chief Chris Crowell says while they were fighting the fire, two department members had their phones, credit cards and some cash stolen from their personal vehicles at the scene.
Crowell urges anyone with information on the theft to contact Yarmouth RCMP.
