A Yarmouth man is looking to be in ‘Muscle and Fitness’ Magazine.
Adam Fowler is currently in a contest to be featured in the well-known magazine, win $20,000 and be named ‘Mr. Health and Fitness.’
In the current round of voting, he’s in first place in his group and will need to stay there until late tomorrow night to advance.
Fowler says he started working out at a young age.
“I was a skinny kid, and I wanted to get fit and put on a little muscle mass. I’ve been doing this since Grade 7, and I’ve made it part of my lifestyle. I work out probably five days a week,” said Fowler.
The 42 year old says he wants to be an inspiration.
“I want people to realize, no matter how much you weigh or how small you are, you can lose or gain weight. You just have to put your mind to it, and be determined.”
He says the community of Yarmouth has been very supportive, and thanks them for their help in getting him to first place in this round.
Fowler has advanced past 45 other contestants to get this far.
