A man from Bear River East, 20 minutes east of Digby, has been charged with attempted murder.
65 year old Richard Edward Robbins is also facing several firearms related charges, and was expected to appear in Digby Provincial Court this morning.
Police say the man turned himself in yesterday, and was remanded into custody overnight.
It all stemmed from an investigation that began on July 5th, after a report of shots fired into a vehicle following an altercation in Bear River East.
Two men who were known to each other were in the altercation.
Later, the victim was parked in his truck at a wood lot when the other man showed up, and allegedly fired into the truck.
The victim suffered minor injuries and drove away.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
