Zach Churchill has been acclaimed as the Liberal candidate for Yarmouth in the next provincial election.
He’s represented the riding since winning a by-election in 2010, and has held several cabinet positions, including the Minister of Natural Resources, Municipal Affairs, Communications, Education and now Health.
Churchill says he’s proud to have represented this area for 11 years, and he looks forward to defending his seat.
“I think we have a strong track record as a government with making good decisions. I also believe that I’ve done my very best as a local representative to help people and deliver for the area. We’ve made major healthcare investments, we’ve invested in the ferry and major infrastructure projects, and I hope to have the opportunity to continue to work for people here,” said Churchill.
The nomination process was conducted virtually due to the pandemic.
A provincial election is expected sometime over the next year.
