The Town of Yarmouth is preparing for phase two of renovations to the ferry terminal on Water Street.
Council is set to award a tender for architectural drawings, after increased urgency to begin project planning and designing from the Canada Border Services Agency.
Mayor Pam Mood says these drawings will finalize the layout.
“The tender was awarded to Lydon Lynch architects, in the amount of $48,500. They’ve done work for us in the past, we felt good in going with them.”
Lydon Lynch has worked with the town on the Yarmouth fire hall and Lake Milo washroom renovations.
The other proposal was from CBCL, in the amount of nearly $137,000. They were the design firm for the first phase.
The second phase will complete the expansion and renovation to the terminal building, to meet security and operational requirements.
