The Yarmouth Mariners are now 3-0 in the MHL Playoff Round-Robin after a 4-1 win at home last night over Pictou County.
Cameron Patton led the way with two goals, the first of the game and the insurance marker in the third period. He also picked up an assist.
Patton says the whole team played well.
“Everyone was pulling their weight. Our line missed a few chances, but it was nice to get a couple of goals. Our goaltender was solid, everyone played a great game.”
Jonathan Rees also scored, Brent Broaders tallied an empty netter, and Justin Sumarah was spectacular in goal, making 20 saves.
The Mariners next game is tomorrow night in Summerside.
In other action around the MHL, Amherst edged South Shore 3-2 in double overtime, Valley beat Truro 5-3.
