A small fire late last night caused smoke and water damage at a school in Meteghan River.
Classes were cancelled at Ecole Secondaire de Clare today as clean-up is taking place.
The Meteghan Fire Department says they responded to a fire alarm at the school around 11:40 p.m.
They say it appears there was a fire in the woodworking classroom, but it was contained early by the sprinkler system.
The cause of the fire is not known, but it’s believed it started in a garbage can.
No one was in the school at the time.
The CSAP said this morning they’d be releasing more information today.
