RCMP now say the vehicle driven by a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Riverview has been located.
The black 2020 Hyundai Elantra was found in Amherst, Nova Scotia by Amherst Police.
Twenty-four-year-old Janson Bryan Baker has not been located.
RCMP are now working closely with Amherst Police and the RCMP in Nova Scotia.
They are also following leads in New Brunswick as well.
Police say Baker may be carrying firearms with intent to use them.
He is described as five feet ten inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds.
If you see Baker or his vehicle, police say you should not approach him. You should call police at 506-857-2400.
RCMP issued two Emergency Alerts ready messages across TVs, radios and all other electronic devices in New Brunswick between 11:30pm and midnight on Tuesday night. Nova Scotia RCMP have since requested an alert from NS EMO around 11 this morning.
Baker is a suspect in a shooting incident that occurred near Riverview High School around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, where a man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As police search for the individual, the public is asked not to report police locations or positions on social media. Only call 9-1-1 if you have seen Baker or if you have information on his whereabouts.
RCMP New Brunswick will be updating its social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter as needed. They ask that you do not call 9-1-1 or police directly to seek additional information.
Amherst Police have located the suspect vehicle which was the subject of an Alert in New Brunswick. The vehicle appears to have been abandoned. There is no indication that there is an immediate threat at this time.
